Since 1998, LE Inc. has developed and refined a patented cutting edge technology, incorporating amorphous metals and high energy density permanent magnets, to produce high performance, high energy density, variable speed brushless motors and generators.

Amorphous metal in the stator core replaces the silicon iron used in the majority of electrical machines. This enables the LE GenSmart and SmartTorq generators and motors to operate at higher frequencies, which in turn enables optimal topologies and minimal endwindings, making the machines smaller and lighter, using less active materials for any given power output.
